Ok typical: the guy I am like hugely in love with asked out a close friend of mine, she knew I liked him, then said yes. He never even liked me. I feel like crying because I was even about to tell him myself that I liked him, although he already knew.

~Sad but true, you’ll come to see that there really is no such thing as friend. With that being said, let me just take this opportunity to welcome you to high school!!
~Unfortunately, there is ALWAYS something appealing about the guy that a friend likes. In the future, I suggest that you refrain from telling your girlfriends about your crushes. Trust me, you’ll only make them envious, and you’ll be at their mercy and vulnerable to another situation like this. Protect your feelings.
~Many moons ago (back in high school), I was in your shoes. The difference was that the guy I liked (we’ll just call him "*Mike") didn’t know that I liked him, but my supposed "friend" (we’ll call her "**Jenny") did, and within 2 weeks of knowing I was interested, she had the nerve to ask him to the dance. Anyway, as soon as I stopped showing interest in “Mike”, “Jenny” stopped liking him too. She only became interested in him ‘cause I was.
~A good song by Taylor Swift would probably be "tear drops on my guitar", but please don’t cry!! DON’T give your supposed friend the satisfaction of knowing that she hurt you. It’s not worth it!! You’ll soon see that high school is a bunch of mind games & bull$h*t, and that all you really need to attract him is confidence. Few guys are able to resist.
~Anyway, enjoy your youth! Trust me on the confidence, the female friends, and high school. I’ve been there.
