I’m inspired by Taylor Swift. I know she came from a small town and she was never understood by kids in her school. What else do you know about her story and how she got where she is now?

Taylor Swift was born in Wyomyssing, Pennsylvania on December 13,1989.
She found a passion for music after listening to the Dixie Chicks, Leann Rimes, and Shania Twain. When she was about 8, she went to a Leann Rimes concert, and Leann touched her hand while performing. It caused such an emotion in Taylor that she realized that she wanted to be a performer and hoped to make someone feel the same way she felt at that moment. When she was 11, she took her first trip to Nashville and went into every major record label telling them she was 11 years old and wanted a record deal.
This obviously didn’t work for her. When she got home, she realized she wanted to be different. She bought her first guitar and a family friend would come every week and teach her 3 chords. She would play nonstop, until her fingers bled. At this point she started writing songs as well. Like you said, she wasn’t understood in her middle school and was often an outsider.
Once her parents realized that this was not just a phase, they decided to relocate to Hendersonville, Tennessee. At the age of 13, she got a development deal with RCA, but that ended up falling through because they wanted her to sing songs that weren’t her own.
At 14, she got a publishing deal with Sony ATV Publishing and began writing every day after school with some of Nashville’s best. Finally, at the age of 15, she got a recording deal with Big Machine Records. When she got this deal, Scott Borchetta has just started the label and therefore there were only 12 people working there.
At the age of 16, she released her first single ‘Tim McGraw’ and her debut album, ‘Taylor Swift.’ She decided not to go back to high school her Junior year and opted to be home schooled instead. At that point, she began touring a lot. She opened for George Strait, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flats, and Tim and Faith. In 2007, she won the CMT award for Breakthrough video and her album went gold in just 13 weeks (her lucky number.) That summer, her album went platinum and she won the prestigious CMA Horizon Award.
That year, she turned 18 and registered to vote. Her single ‘Our Song’ (the third after Teardrops on My Guitar) went #1. This got her down in the history books as the youngest female artist to ever write and record a #1 single all by herself.
the song was #1 for 6 weeks and her debut album was #1 for 8 weeks on the country albums list.
She was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys, but lost to Amy Whinehouse. She released 5 singles off her 3x platinum debut album of which 3 were #1.
In 2008, she opened for Rascal Flatts and had a short sold out headlining tour. She won many awards including ACM Top New Female Artist, CMT Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year (both for ‘Our Song’) She also won an AMA and a Teen Choice Award.
Her 2nd album ‘Fearless’ was released on November 11, 2008 and sold 592,304 copies in its first week alone. She also had ‘White Horse’ and ‘Love Story’ be in the Top 20 singles, giving her the record of how many Top 20 singles an artist had in one year. (previously held by ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and his brothers)
She is a fast, rising country star with high hopes, dreams, and ambitions. She stays true to her fans and really is just like any teenage girl.
I realize that was a lot, and I left out a lot.
I just pulled that all out of my head lol
I can’t give you one source because a lot of this information is from random places that I’ve read in the last year. But, I hope I could be of some help
she started singing since she could talk. She’d go sing at karoake places instead of hanging out with her friends. I think she sang at a baseball game..when she was young…
she lived in wyomissing pennsylvania, she had no friends, moved to tenn., got a sonwriters contract with sony at 14, she became a recording artist, 16 her first single Tim McGraw cam out, 18 Her cd Fearless came out.
5’11"
Blonde Hair
Blue Eyes
I think you get the point.
She lived in Pennsylvania and wanted to be a singer all her life. She asked her mom to move to Memphis so she can start her singing career. Thats about all i know!
To be sure, she wrote every day in her diary, where she has twenty-five of them. She always knew she would be a star and her parents moved to another state so that she would get a change of scenery. She was inspired by her grandmother, and pursued music relentlessly. She had lots of heartaches in high school.
Hi
I’m 18– and a half.
I’m the girl who is best friends with a guitar and writes songs about everything and everyone that happens to me. Names included.
Class of 2008.
In my spare time, I like to conduct random baking experiments in my kitchen and write letters to people.
I really love people who like my music. They’re number 1 on my favorite things list.
I’m not a big deal. At all.
I love people who are nice to me, I’ve never been one to say things like "All you people think you know me, well you don’t".
Because I’m not that complicated. My complications come out in my songs. All you need to do to be my friend is like me.
My middle name is Alison.
And I’m extremely tall. Like, I’m that really tall person that is blocking your view at a concert. On behalf of all of us, we’re sorry.
My ideal outfit is a sun dress and cowboy boots.
I love surprises and hardwood floors.
I like people who are excitable. I think it’s endearing when people cry when they’re happy. I’m pretty excitable too.
I’ve never been the kind of girl who needs a boyfriend. Plus, guys don’t ask me out because they know I’ll write songs about them.
In life and love, you learn that there comes a time to let go and move on. It’s a lesson I learned recently.
I wear too many bracelets and I can’t concentrate on the conversation if the TV’s on.
I grew up on a Christmas tree farm. Seriously.
I’m fascinated by black and white pictures, I have them hung up everywhere.
I like people who can be sarcastic and laugh about tense situations.
I never assume someone’s not being honest with me.
I like to read up on weird medical problems, so if one of my friends ever complains of a headache or stomach ache, I’m probably going to spout off 12 different things that could be wrong with them. Because I’m way paranoid.
I think Keri Russell and Ellen DeGeneres are the coolest celebrities ever.
I don’t like making decisions when I don’t have to. So right now my toenails are painted 5 different colors.
I will never straighten my hair to impress a guy ever again.
There’s never going to be a time when I’m annoyed by compliments about my music.
I need everything to be organized. All the time.
I think little kids are awesome.
I’m a thinker and an over-analyzer. I’m not jaded.
I’m a fan of fans. You are absolutely wonderful to me. I’ve got your back, just like you’ve had mine. To anyone who has gone out and bought my CD, or come to a show, or even turned my song up when it came on the radio, all I can say is thank you.
Oh yeah.. My name’s Taylor.
