It’s kind of an ongoing battle with my sister on wether lady gaga or taylor swift is better, and I want to know your opion on the matter.
Who do you like better, Taylor Swift or lady gaga?

I am a huge taylor swift fan. she’s an amazing writer (one of the best) and is so young. try and find one bad thing about her. she’s innocent and a great role model. i absolutely love her singing. lady gaga isn’t bad, but i can’t relate to any of her songs and isn’t very down-to-earth to say the least.

Lady Gaga is better because her The Fame album sold more copies worldwide than Taylor’s album Fearless. And Lady Gaga has more number one songs, and has better achievement than Taylor as she is the first artist in the history whose debut album has 4 number one pop songs.
Lady Gaga music appeals to people of all ages, from 11~12 to 45~50 even 60. Someone wrote an answer here said her 81 yr old father like Lady Gaga music and said he was disappointed when he missed Lady Gaga performance at Grammy because she performed first.
Her music is for everybody. I’ve heard some people who only listen to heavy metal music and some people who hate to listen to pop music before love to listen to her music. Metal artists like Ozzy Osbourne and Alice Cooper have praised her recently.
Taylor is good but her music mainly appeal to teen girls. I have read someone wrote an answer saying her kids used to like Taylor music, now they go to college and don’t listen to her music anymore.
Many people from entertainment industry like Lady Gaga and her music too. Even some artists, who seems to be rivals of Lady Gaga last year came out recently and praised her. Some were interviewed by MTV at grammy about a week ago. This is what they said about Lady Gaga.
Paramore’s Hayley Williams said "I’m very newly obsessed with Lady Gaga. We’ve been needing an artist like her for a long time, for awhile now: She does everything, and she’s great at it. And I really respect that."
Katy Perry also said in mtv interview that Gaga has really forced everyone to step up their game. "Gaga knows she has it. She’s dethroned everybody"…"She’s like a reigning queen." …"Really, I think that she just knew what she was doing, and she’s just playing the game on a totally different level"…"And people are now just playing catch-up with her"
Taylor Swift. She is true to herself and doesn’t need to put on an act or wear ridiculous outfits to get people to like her. She is very genuine and is amazingly talented. I don’t think anyone can not find at least one song of hers that they can relate to.
you compare them coz they’re pretty much completely different styled people!
but to me, both of them are my idols because they both write/cowrite their own songs which means their talent is great. but lady gaga only has one song that she wrote by herself, whereas taylor swift has lots of songs that needed no help from others (e.g. love story, fifteen, change and MORE)
taylor swift is really honest and true to herself which makes her a great role model but lady gaga is always attention seeking however lady gaga’s live performances obviously pwns taylor swift by a mile.
