Taylor Swift performed on Children In Need last night – and then donated £13,000 of her own money.

During an evening of performances from the likes of the BBC newsreaders, EastEnders actors, Peter Andre, JLS, Spandau Ballet and Madness, the American country singer performed her top-selling single Love Story.

She then told the evening’s host Sir Terry Wogan that she wanted to make a personal donation to the charity event which raised around £18million on the evening.

The 19-year-old, who looked stunning in a silver sequinned mini-dress, told him: ‘I’m so happy to be here. I’d love to make a donation tonight.

‘My lucky number is 13 so I would like to donate £13,000 to Children In Need. Thank you for having me, I really appreciate it.’
