But in this exclusive sneak peek of Taylor Swift’s “Mine” video, which she codirected with Roman White, we don’t get to see the actual wedding (yet). But we do get to see the surprise proposal. We also get a look at Taylor Swift, who’s nominated for a 2010 MTV VMA for Best Female Video, singing and twirling in a dreamy forest where photographs hang from trees. We also see a little girl — presumably symbolic of a young Taylor Swift — Taylor and Toby Hemingway walking on the beach, laying on a couch and also fighting. It’s an incomplete look at a love story, and we can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Here’s the explanation from Taylor’s official site regarding the early release of the single

Due to overwhelming fan demand, Taylor Swift’s lead single, “Mine,” from her upcoming album, SPEAK NOW (in stores Oct. 25), has been rush released to iTunes and to Country radio.

An unauthorized low-quality mp3 file of the single appeared online Wednesday. As the low-quality file started to spread virally the decision was made to rush release “Mine” to iTunes and Country radio to ensure that Taylor’s fans were able to hear the single as she intended.

Within the first couple of hours of its release to Country radio, “Mine” had already jumped into the Top 35 on Billboard’s Top Country Songs chart.

SPEAK NOW, Taylor’s third studio album, will be released on Big Machine Records and contains 14 tracks, all written solely by Taylor. Taylor co-produced the project with Nathan Chapman.

Can’t wait for the Oct. 25 release of Taylor Swift’s upcoming album? The country superstar will treat fans to a sneak peak of Speak Now when she performs her first single “Mine” on the CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock TV special.

Swift’s top-secret performance, which was filmed last month in Nashville during the CMA Music Festival, will air Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. on the ABC Television Network.

Beside offering the first look at the artwork, representatives for Taylor Swift have also visited radio stations across the country to play the new track before it goes on air next month. One of the stations which got the first listen is 100.3 KILT.

” ‘Mine’ is an uptempo song that’s unmistakably Taylor,” the station reviews it. “It’s a boy/girl song, sort of like ‘Love Story’, but a much more realistic look at a relationship. It shows Taylor’s growth and maturity over the 2 years since she released ‘Fearless’, but still maintains Taylor’s ability to tell a story with an instantly memorable hook.”

The chorus is described as “big” and “very singable” with such lines as “You made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter / You are the best thing that’s ever been mine.”

Taylor Swift has confirmed the title of the lead single from her new album Speak Now.

During a uStream chat with fans, Swift confirmed that the album would be released on October 25.

Trailing that will be the single ‘Mine‘, which the 20-year-old described as being about her “tendancy to run from love”.

“It’s been sort of a recent tendency,” she revealed. “I think it’s because that, for me, every really direct example of love that I’ve had in front of me has ended in goodbye, has ended in breakups.

“I think I’ve developed this pattern of sort of running away when it comes time to fall in love and to stay in a relationship. The song is sort of about finding the exception to that and finding someone who would make you believe in love and realise that it could work out.

“I’m never, ever going to go past hoping that love can work out. I’m always going to be very hopeful and blindly optimistic when it comes to love.”

Speaking about the video, Swift added: “We shot the video in Portland, Maine, which was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. It was gorgeous. I absolutely fell in love with it. I went there and got to spend two or three days just falling in love with it.

“When I am old and I have silver hair. I want to live in Maine. I want to have a house and make necklaces or something, and have a lot of cats. It’s a whole fantasy for me.”

Swift will release ‘Mine‘ in the US on August 16.
